What is Airthings for Business?

Airthings for Business is a commercial division of Airthings, a Norwegian indoor air quality technology company founded in 2008 by scientists from CERN. Launched in 2019, Airthings for Business helps building owners, facility managers, schools, and HVAC professionals monitor and improve indoor air quality across offices, schools, and commercial buildings, with 150,000+ devices deployed in 10,000+ buildings worldwide.

Our story

Founded in 2008, Airthings began with a simple but ambitious mission: to make accurate indoor air quality monitoring accessible to everyone.

What started with pioneering radon detection technology for homes quickly evolved into something bigger. Our founders, scientists and engineers from CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, recognized that indoor air quality affects not only the places people live, but also the buildings where they work, learn, and collaborate every day.
Building on the success of Airthings for consumers, we launched Airthings for Business in 2019 to help organizations take control of their indoor environments through continuous, data-driven air quality insights.

Today, Airthings for Business empowers building owners, facility managers, employers, schools, and HVAC professionals with intelligent indoor air monitoring solutions designed for healthier buildings, improved operational efficiency, and better occupant experiences.

Two milestones in a single quarter mark the line's maturity: Space CO₂ Mini launches and a single large-enterprise customer rolls out 30,000 devices across their portfolio.
