How it works

The calibration service step by step

BEFORE CALIBRATION

1 . Preparing your device

When your Corentium Pro arrives at the Airthings Lab, we will:

→  Clean battery terminals and replace batteries
→  Replace any missing rubber parts
→  Remove any attachments and include them in your return package
→  Polish the unit 
→  Perform firmware updates
DURING CALIBRATION

2 . Calibrating your device

Next, we place your Corentium Pro in a controlled radon chamber to:

→  Expose it to a known radon concentration
→  Record exposure data and file
→  Run through calibration software
→  Apply calibration factor
→  Verify calibration meets official guidelines
→  Update calibration label
→  Create calibration certificate
AFTER CALIBRATION

3. Returning your device

Once calibration is finished, we carefully prepare your device for shipping:

→  Repackage your Corentium Pro in your original shipping materials 
→  Ship it back to you via UPS/FedEx Ground
 →  Provide tracking information and delivery notifications

01 Preparing your device

When your Corentium Pro arrives at the Airthings Lab, our technicians will:

→ Clean battery terminals
→ Replace batteries and any missing rubber feet, usb or power covers
→ Remove any attachments and include them in your return package
→ Polish and clean the unit (avoiding your custom labels)
→ Perform firmware updates if needed
→ Place your monitor in a radon free background for 20 hours

02 Calibrating your device

Next, we place your Corentium Pro in a controlled radon chamber to:

→ Expose it to a known radon concentration
→ Record exposure data and file
→ Run through calibration software
→ Apply calibration factor
→ Update calibration label
→ Create calibration certificate

03 Returning your device

Once calibration is finished, we carefully prepare your device for shipping: 
→ Repackage your Corentium Pro in your original shipping materials (including any attachments you sent, if applicable)
→ Ship it back to you via UPS Ground
→ Provide tracking information and email notifications so you know exactly when it will arrive

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost? Re-calibration is $149 plus $25 return shipping. If you are sending multiple units for calibration, then return shipping is lowered to $15 for each subsequent additional unit.

Can I order calibration anywhere? The online ordering system is for US customers only. For customers outside the US, please visit our help desk FAQ to find out where to have your unit calibrated.
How do I order a calibration? Ordering a calibration is simple. Make sure you have all the serial numbers of your units that need calibration, then click the button below to start your purchase.
